I bought a vehicle for my mother in law and when the invoice was made, a compulsory On the road charge of R2800 is charged. I asked the salesman if they will register the vehicle in Brits. He was very confident that its not a problem.
3 weeks later nothing was done to register the vehicle. I asked if I can do the registration myself and they said they will refund the registration if I do it myself. I collected the documents and drove to Brits only to find that all the documents were not handed to me. I phoned the salesman and he said I can come and collect the outstanding documents. When I collected them they still did not have the roadworthy certificate, he convinced me it is on the system. (I am not sure that this roadworthy was done legally)
When I eventually got the vehicle registered, I sent the salesman the invoices and now almost 2 months later I still have had no payment or a response from SA Motor Corporation.
I think this is absolute service.
