A year ago we bought a new Steed 5 double cab 2lt VGT, in this one year we had problems with the brakes, the gearbox and now the turbo we are on vacation in Cape town and now we sit with a broken car, our bakkie went for it's one year service three weeks ago, since then there was a noise in the engine when we phoned GWM in Roodepoort on 14th avenue where the bakkie went for it's service, the service department said it's normal for those bakkies to have a noise, my husband told them it's not normal for there were no noise before!!! now we are in Cape town we took the bakkie to GWM in Parrow (Western Cape) the guy there said that one of the rubber pipes broke and the pieces went into the turbo, there is some vanes damaged on the turbo. they repaired[temporally] the pipe but that's all they can do now for they don't have any stock. We have 1300 kilometers to drive home, what if we have more problems going home, when you buy a new car you expect to have no problems with it, we have had ONLY problems with it. How can we rely on our new bakkie if it's braking all the time? there is only 10900 km on the meter.what is next to break!!!
