I purchased an original MOPAR tow bar which was supplied to me in a sealed Bosal/Mopar box. I was informed that the tow bar was not supplied with a wire harness and thus had to buy this item separately. Upon opening the box containing the tow bar it was discovered that a wire harness was indeed supplied as part of the components.
I returned the extra harness for a credit which the dealership accepted back and informed me that the money would be paid back into my bank account. Four weeks have past by now and I have still not received my refund. I therefore decide to go into the dealership and enquire as to where my refund is and was rudely informed by the dealer principle that he refuses to pass the credit due to the fact that I was supplied what I asked for. Needless to say Jeep now have my money and the wire harness.
It now seems that there is a reliability/approval issue with the wire harness supplied in the box with the tow bar and Jeep are simply trying to pass the buck from their supplier having made a mistake by including a wire harness in the kit onto me.
