Speed services are a courier company that is a subdivision of the SA Post office. Right now they have workers who are striking and physically preventing trucks from entering and leaving depos. However the speed services sales people and booking systems will still accept packages from customers destined for affected areas.
If you ask them why this is the case, they argue that they are "fully operational". However they also add that they cant deliver your package and that there is no ETA since they have a strike.
The telesales woman eventually put the phone on her desk when she got tired of explaining why this was fine. She said that I wasnt listening.
When I wanted to complain, I went to the website. The complaints section was well hidden but I found it. After filling it in, I clicked the "submit" button. It does not work.
Then I called the headoffice. I just got an engaged tone.
This company is ridiculous. They are pathetic on various levels. It does not seem as if they care about the problems, have no idea how to solve the problems and still accept packages for delivery as if there is no problem. Unbelievable.
