Sparekey missing in action

I bought a Volkswagen Polo Sedan 1.6 from Mccarthy in Constantia, Roodepoort in January. At first, the service by the salesman, Ben Thutloane, was excellent. But when I went to fetch my new car, he told me that he could not find its spare key. One of the reasons why I bought a second-hand car from Mccarthy is that it guarantees a good service history and spare key to the car you buy -- as stated in big letters on its shop windows. Ben told me he would give me the spare key when he calls me to collect my registration papers. I accepted that in good faith. Now, nearly three months and many phone calls to Ben later, there is no sign of the spare keys and no feedback from Ben. Last week Friday he told me their stock controller was in hospital and would be back on Monday. He promised -- again -- to get back to me. A week later, I have not heard one word from him. When I bought the car, Ben gave me this beautiful speech about how buying this car is not the end of my relationship with Mccarthy, but the beginning. Yeah right.
