Kia Motors South Africa
KIA

Took my KIA Coup for a minor service. Instead of replacing filters and spark plugs etc they decided to rather take the vehicle for a joyride. A few weeks after the service date I received two speeding fines that was issued on the same morning when the car was supposed to be on a ramp. I made an appointment to meet with the dealer principal - Len Tollmay. Upon investigation with the service dept he said the they have no record of the car being serviced there on that day. I produced a service invoice and he promised that he will pay the fines within three days and will also send proof to me.
Now a month later, I received a summons. I left a message for MR Tollmay to contact me - needless to say that he didn't contact me after I waited for two days. When I eventually got hold of him he said that he couldn't remember our discussion of a month ago where he promised to settle the fines. He brushed me off and said he will phone me back in a few minutes. Guess what - now two days later and I am still waiting.
I now strongly doubt that the car was actually serviced seeing that their system doesn't have any record of it.
