I received a gift from abroad that needed clearing from Customs. Fedex did not notify me prior to them paying the amounts, only to receive a notification of an amount i had to pay for the gift within two days. If I had been notified before I would have worked out a plan, but instead they started accusing me of lying and saying that they did communicate the amount prior to them sending an invoice. I am really dissapointed and will surely change couriers in future.
