I bought a offroad bike last year. I opted for big boy to do all the reg papers, and on my invoice it clearly states licence and registration - R995.00. My car licence came up for renewal and I bought a road bike from another dealer. Both these licences wouldnt be issued as the licence for the offroad bike wasnt paid (What I paid big boy for) I had to go in, to the licence dept and pay the R300 odd rand, plus penalties on my other licences due to Big Boy. Why did I pay big boy R995 if I had to go into the licencing dept myself? I asked if Big Boy will be refunding me the R995 less the registration fee, and the blunt answer was .. "thats our fee". Again, why would I pay Big Boy R995, if I still had to take half a day off of work, plus ride my petrol out, and wait in queues to do the work they were paid to do? I am totally disappointed in Big Boy and this is borderline unethical. Big Boy Fourways did refund me the R300 odd rands for the licence, but my attitude now is, you dont do what you are paid to do, I will not purchase from Big Boy again, and I will definately steer any and all I can from Big Boy. And I have referred many, who have purchased. This will stop.
