First Car rental at Cape Town airport charged me first more than 500 rands more than I expected and what was signed for in the contract for a car hire from 2nd to 10th of December 2012. I asked what these costs were and the answer I got was that it was costs for Airport Surcharge, Contract Fee, Extra Charges (what was that for?) and Refuelling Charges. Even though we filled up the car in CP not long before return, they managed to top it with another 20 litres, which is quite impressive! Anyway, all these charges, which were never signed for, or at least never were explained to me as additional cost (I signed the papers for like 2000 Rands, the Invoice I received after I required an explanation was 2730 rand). Up on my request they NEVER replied and sent me a copy of the contract I signed!
But then, now 3 months after the rental, First Car Rental has withdrawn frm my credit card ANOTHER 200 Rands - what for I have got no clue nor am I copied or provided any information! This is just unacceptable, and by no means a serious company. Stay away if you can!!
