Refused to provide a quote - potential 3rd party claim to repair paint chips on car. They informed me that the car had to stay for half a day so that they can properly establish damage and would not provide a quote without the compulsory half day stay over. There is no chance of other damage, not even a dent where the paint is chipped. The only response from the quotation department and later the manager was that it was "policy" from head office. I can understand the policy in instances where there may be hidden damage but there was no risk of this in this instance and they were not even prepared to look at the"damage to the vehicle, let alone use some initiative and make their own decision. Totally unacceptable service but fortunately there are many other panelbeaters that are more than happy to quote without this policy.
