I sent my car in to Williams Hunt here in Durban
I dropped the car off, did a full check with the guy showing him every scratch and dent
Later in the day I get a call from the service adviser that I need to pay R100 when I collect the car, because they needed to fill fuel when they went for a test drive. My brother went to pick it up.
When my brother gets back to work I see the front bumper was damaged badly! Phoned them immediately and they tell me to bring it in the next day.
So I take my car there, the guy looks at it and says there is no way it could have happened in their yard, to which I said I know but you guys took it for a test drive, who knows what they hit.
He says he'll speak to his manager and get back to me.
A month later they tell me my car came in like that, which was a massive lie.
I asked to speak to the manager.
The manager ended up swearing me and telling me to take it up with whoever the I want!
I understand it was my fault for taking the car off the floor without checking it but still, is that the attitude of dealers nowadays?
