I recently purchased a 20 year old Ford Sapphire that is low mileage (for its age!) and in pretty good condition. However, after about 6000km's of use, the car started to play up and I replaced the obvious parts, followed some expert advise and replaced some less obvious parts. Sadly, to no avail - the problem was still not solved.

Seeking some real expert advice, I approached Steve, the Service Manager, and told him my sorry saga. He patiently offered some advice, which I followed and the problem did get a bit better, but still was not totally resolved.

Steve offered to have his guys look at the car for me if I could leave it with them for the day, an offer I snapped up in a heartbeat. The guys at Ford looked at the car, tested all sorts of things and did all kinds of stuff to try and resolve the problem - but that gremlin was not going to be caught!

The short of things is that Steve and his team, including Liz, the service advisor, delivered 1st class service, spent time and money on my car, and did not charge me a single cent for all the time and effort.

An awesome example of going that extra mile for the prospective customer - I wasn't one until this incident!
