Saturday 2nd Feb 2013 09h00 i hired a car (renault sandero) for a rate of R302 and returned the car Sunday 3rd Feb 09h00. I filled the fuel for about R350 at the OR Tambo Engen garage. I left the petrol slip in the car and informed the gentleman who was inspecting the cars and he said all was well after inspecting only the exterior of the vehicle. Today i got to learn that i will be refunded about R487 less than what i expected and upon enquiry i was told the R487 is for fuel. How do you fill up a full tank with additional fuel of R487? I got a query number 383805 from the call center. I have also spoken to the supervisor at OR Tambo and she promised to investigate the matter. As a customer that is aggrieved and i feel defrauded i would like to see proof that they filled petrol in that car and all details of the investigation should be communicated to me including the outcome. I also give consent that the camera footage at the garage be viewed and a uplicate receipt be obtained. I need compensation for such a reckless action because clearly there are many peopl who do not check their refunds and are robbed. Please treat this with the urgency it deserves.
