I purchased a VW Polo TDI form Lindsay Saker Glen in Feb 11. It has 49 000 km on the clock and I have had 4 breakdowns. Twice I had to drive the car there for repairs and the other two occasions VW dispatched a breakdown vehicle to collect the car. Every time I ask what the problem is, I get told that I'm not using the correct Diesel?? or I'm not driving the car fast enough (So Now I have to drive over 120km/h) and today I receive a call to tell me my car is fixed and the problem is that I'm not driving the car enough (I've driven 5 000km in two months according to my service book) and that when I go and collect the car form VW Alberton today, he will show me how to reset the car myself, it's quote easy. What he's telling me is, we havent sorted your problem, but we'll show you how to fix it yourself next time so that you don't bother us. Another issue is when I phoned them on Wed 5.45Pm to tell them that I have a problem with the car, they were reluctant to assist. I then drove the car as they asked me to and had to contact them again 6.45PM to tell them I'm now stuck next to the road. No one even bothered to phone me back. I had 2 call them again 30mns later asking for feedback.
