My exhaust had a hole so I went to Supa Quick Hermanus for a quote. For the new exhaust and gasket they quoted me R1075. They didn't have stock so they said they would order in for me. Fortunately I didn't have time to go back to that branch so I went to the branch in Bree street in Cape Town, where I was charged R545 for the exhaust and gasket.
Now to charge 2 times the price is highway (and assuming the Bree street branch still marked up as well). It was cheaper for me to drive all the way to Cape Town and get my exhaust changed than to get it done in Hermanus.
Supa Quick hermanus basically has the monopoly in that area as there are no other shops that offer the service, but to rip off their customers so badly is ludicrous. I have recently also replaced approx. 5 tires all from this Supa Quick branch - calculating how much extra I have been charged scares me.
