Appalling service and late delivery

I ordered a Mercedes Benz A200 in September 2013 from Mercedes Benz Constantia Kloof. The delivery date on my signed offer to purchase was 28 Nov 2013.
A few weeks before this date I contacted the sales person to check if delivery was still on track. He assured me it was, only that it would most likely be delayed by a few days due to shipping issues.
A week before delivery was due I contacted him again, and could not reach him. I called his collegue and he said that there had been an issue with my order, and a car had arrived with different specifications than I'd ordered. I could take this car, at a higher price, or wait until May 2014 when another car could be ordered. I asked him to send me the new specifications so I could make an informed decision. We contacted the dealer principle to complain about the situation, and were told that he would make a plan for us. We waited days, and when he did get back to us he told us that the car that was mine (with the different specs), had been promised to another customer and they had signed an offer to purchase on that vehicle.
We said that it was unacceptable, and are waiting for resolution.
Extremely disappointed!!
