I hired a car from Avis and paid a R750.00 fuel deposit, refundable on return of the vehicle with a full tank.
The car was collected from my office on the 8 November 2013 with a full tank of petrol. I asked that this be noted on my contract, which it was.
To date I have not received my refund.
I attempted to call the Avis National Call Centre last week, and after holding for some time I was informed that the customer service department were too busy to attend to my call. I was given another number to call - 011 923 3617 but was put on hold endlessly and never attended to.
I then went onto the Avis website and sent an e-mail, to which I have had no response.
As I have exhausted all avenues, I have no option than to turn to hellopeter with the hopes this will spur someone into action.
Please can you honour your contract and return my deposit without delay. I should not have to beg for it.
Really poor form Avis.
