On Saturday 9 November we took Clients to The Waterberg. The Driver stopped at the Naboomspruit Caltex Garage (travelling south) & filled up with petrol. The speed point showed an error of code 91. The petrol attendants were at a loss of what to do next. The speed point is an absa speed point. The driver asked for the tel no of Absa but none of the attendants could help. The driver phoned me & I immediatley phoned my bank ; they said it was a problem on Absa Banks side. I asked the driver to get the cell no for the Manager. I called the Manager (Louis) & explained the situation to him. He told me he did not have the no for Absa & that he was at home & that code 91 meant I had no money in the bank &; he could not assist me. What was my driver meant to do - stay until Monday to resolve the situation!!! he put the phone down on The speed point was FNB, the transaction went through successfully. I cannot believe the service that we got from the Manager. I suggest he is sent on a customer service course & what right has he got to tell a client they have no money in there account when clearly we do. I will never use that garage again & will pass this on to my collegues.
