FRUSTRATION WITH SPARE PARTS NOT READILY AVAILABLE

TATA ZENON 2.2L DICOR 4X2 DOUBLE CAB BAKKIE REGISTRATION NUMBER: ZSZ 793 GP VIN NUMBER: MAT4641056ASR00359 I have bought this vehicle during September 2010. The bakkie was for more than ten months in a garage waiting for parts in the three years since I have bought it. When I have raised this frustration with TATA South Africa before I was informed to be patient as TATA is going to build a plant in South Africa that will resolve this problem. To date I am not aware of any plant that was built. I have taken the bakkie on 15 August 2013 to the Princess Crossing Franchise in Roodepoort for the 90 000km service. On 12 September 2013 I all of sudden struggle to get the vehicle into gear or to change gears. The bakkie was towed to KIA in Randburg. There I was informed that the gearbox was damaged. The bakkie was moved on 18 September 2013 to gearbox specialists. Approval was only received on 30 September 2013 to repair the gearbox under warranty. The parts are currently on back order from India. It was also strange to me as I have never ever had any problems with the gearbox before. If you do your calculations you will see that I was exactly, to date, eight weeks without transport!
