Our (company car) 2012 Chevy Spark is very heavy on fuel and has no power. They claim 5.8L/100 but I get anything from 11L/100 to 8L/100. That is ridiculously high for a 1.2 cc engine. That comes to 371km on a tank and ranging to 440 if I am lucky. They claim it can do 600km on a full tank but that would be impossible with our car. On the highway the car struggles on up hills and I have to change down to 3rd gear in some cases just to keep going. On pull away the car is dead and you barely get going until the revs climb to almost the limiter. Unfortunately that is where you have to keep the RPM just so you can move along. I have taken the car back to GM on more that two occasions and they admitted that they cannot find the fault. They have escalated it to the highest level within the company and we are still waiting for a reply. When They gave me another Spark to use as a loan car I was shocked to feel the difference and see the fuel consumption is way better than our car. I considered buying a Sonic but instead bought a new Kia Cerato 2.0 I won't buy another Chev again. The sad thing is that the Spark is actually a brilliant car and I enjoyed driving it before the problems started
