My wife bought her BMW 118i in 2009. In Feb 2010 the clutch was vibrating when taking of. We booked the car at Midrand BMW. The Manager was very disrespectful & stated that she was not driving the car properly. The next day I had the same problem. I drove to Midrand BMW & handed the keys. They picked up the fault that the clutch was faulty. I requested for a loan car & the manager said he cannot help me as they don't lend out cars. Few minutes after a customer with an X5 were chatting with me & told me that the Manager arranged for him to use a car. 2nd time same problem. March 2013 for the 3rd time to BMW Midrand 4 the same fault & BMW said the clutch was not closing properly. 30/10/2013, 4th time she reported that the clutch is badly vibrating and at times she cannot take off from the robot & made it very dangerous. BMW technician told her to take her car & when she has that problem she must bring it back.
This is unacceptable as the car is going out of warranty soon. I request BMW to take this car and fix it or replace the gearbox. If this matter is not resolved within due time, I will hand over this matter to my lawyer as this vehicle is dangerous for my wife to be driving.
