I bought a brand new Polo Vivo 1.4 Trendline from Volkswagen Hatfield Pretoria 4 months ago. On the day I went to fetch the car I saw a scratch on the roof. I told the sales person but she said no it's just polish. When I got home and washed the car I saw I was right. It was a scratch. I phoned my insurance to claim, but they said no, it's the supplier's problem. When VW phoned me to rate their service after the purchase I told them about the scratch. Nothing happened. Then when I took the car for its first service I told the technician in Bryanston that there is a shudder when my car is idling and that the car struggles to start and I am constantly getting shocked by the ignition and body. He had a look and let me know that my Vivo had a common problem, 1 in every 10 000 Vivo's have a valve that needs to be replaced (manufacturerer fault or something). They fixed it, but I phoned VW Hatfield Pretoria to let them know that I want a new car, I don't want a brand new car with an engine that has been opened. They let me know, almost 2 weeks later that sorry, it's not their problem, I need to take it up myself with VW SA. Nice. No after service, no support.
