I have an intermittent electrical fault in my BMW Z4. One month ago an inspection was carried out and on their advice a new Bus unit was ordered from Germany (coded to my vehicle). After receiving a call that the part had arrived, I booked my car in for repair. After spending 3 weeks at Auto Umhlanga, the car was returned to me with a letter stating " kindly be advised that the Bus unit on your BMW Z4 is not allowing for any programming to be carried out". It took them 1 month 3 weeks to do absolutely nothing in solving the problem. When my vehicle was in the workshop, I asked for a loan car, I was told that they were all out. Thanks to that I had to fit the bill of hiring a car for 3 weeks.
Further to the above, the car was returned to me with the dash falling apart, broken air vent fin and screwdriver leverage marks where they had popped off covers on the dash. I have forwarded a complaint to BMW S.A. with a copy of the letter and photographs of the damage. I am still waiting for a response.
