VAALRIDGE AUTO
Car repair took 14 workdays

My car, a BMW 335i, all of a sudden reported that there is a engine error, and that its full power will not be available (but that one can proceed). I took it in for a service on 7 August and asked them to investigate - they reported on 8 August when I took the car from then that they did not have time to investigate as they had to many services so short before the weekend. I accepted that and then made the car available again for a full week from 2 to 6 September. They did perform the diagnosis during this week (very near to the end under our constant pressure is our impression) and then said that they applied for approval from the BMW factory for a guarantee repair - so we had to take the car still in the 'broken' condition. Having obtained the permission from BMW we gave the car to them again on 23 September for the repair. The repair was only eventually done on 1 October, after the car was again with them for a full week, a weekend, and two days. We then got the car on 2 October.
I really want to complain about their attitude - they are adamant that they determine the priorities and that you just have to wait until they have time. That is how it works one clerk said to my wife.
