At the end of Feb 2013 I took my Nissan Hardbody in for a service. Nissan phoned me &
advised me that it is not necessary for a major service. I insisted they do one as I drive long distances. After driving 560km my Nissan lost power and started to emit smoke. The next morning
I phoned Nissan Bruma & complained to them, I asked them why my vehicle broke down after having a major service with them? After a long discussion, Nissan Bruma told me to take the Nissan to Nissan Vryburg & I had to pay a towing fee of R3, 700.00. Nissan Vryburg reported that the turbo had blown & I now needed a new one which will cost about R21 000.00 which was installed. When I got back into JHB I made an appointment for a service & I complained about the noise of the turbo. When I went to collect my Nissan from Nissan Bruma, the workshop manager told me to prepare myself for another R21, 000 because the bearings were gone. Thereafter Nissan Vryburg advised that it wasnt the turbo but the problem is that the casket has blown. I had to wait weeks for these parts, they told me to drive on which made it worse, then advised the pistons were cracked. I now have no vehicle to drive & Nissan wont assist!!!
