Imperial Select Multi Franchise
Imperial Select - TATA "Disappointing"

I purchased a new TATA Xenon from TATA Mowbray - Cape Town, a dealership that falls under Imperial Select. I took delivery of the vehicle in late July 2013 and by mid August I had problems with the car. I purchased a new vehicle over a pre-owned one because of the service plan and warranty facilities available. I was disappointed to have mechanical failure with the car after just 2000 kms but it does happen and I accepted that. Unfortunately, what happened thereafter is what upset me.

I went to the TATA Multifranchise workshop in Paarden Eiland on several occasions and advised them I had only had the vehicle for a very short time and it had an engine warning light on and it had no power, in addition to other problems. Due to the circumstances I asked them for a loan car which has never been forth coming. Neither the dealer or workshop have contacted me since and only after buying another car from this group has that dealership started to assist. I was considering buying more of these vehicles for my business but will not be doing so after the very poor service received. You do not expect this kind of attitude or service from such a large recognised group. Their after sales.
