Yesterday when driving to fetch my wife from work my new jimny made a grinding noise underneath me as I drove. It sounded as if the gears were trying to engage 4x4, on it's own. But didn't engage properly, and so sounded as if they were being damaged. When you're driving on the freeway, as I was, you can't just stop anywhere as it becomes a safety hazard, so I had to just sit there and take the fact that my R200 000 vehicle was being damaged because Suzuki Helderberg sold me a dud vehicle, and have also taken 2 and a half months to resolve the issue I first complained about 2.5 months ago.
I traded in a car that was in 100% working condition. Their staff continually promise to phone me back and don't. My car was fetched to be checked out about 2.5 months ago. I was told that a spare valve needed to be ordered, I waited a further 1.5 months, then drove my back car to somerset west, waited 2 hours while the fix was done. My car has put on 300km's and I have paid for the petrol and they have wasted my time, and the issue is still not resolved. After making a huge fuss and getting legal advice, they picked my car up yesterday for testing.
