Imperial Group
Unethical conduct

On or about 13 May 2013 Mr Jan Horn took his Opel Corsa 1.4 2010 model to Imperial GM Bloemfontein for a diagnostic test. It was found that there was a problem with the hooter of the vehicle and after the diagnostic test Mr Horn was told that the Body Control Module had to be replaced. he was quoted R547.20 for the diagnostic test. Mr Jan Horn was told that a new module would cost him R10 305.06. On or about 26 August 2013 Mr Horn paid the full amount in cash after which the part was ordered. On or about 19 September 2013 Mr Horn was phone and told that the part arrived and that Mr Horn had to have the vehicle at the dealership on Friday 20 September 2013 at 06h30. Mr Horn took the car to the dealership and after not being able to programme the vehicle Mr Horn was informed that he needed a new key for the vehicle in order for it to be programmed. He was informed that the key would cost a further R1 500.00. The vehicle was tested again on the diagnostic machine and apparently now show that the airbag control module is faulty, which never registered the first time and was not the problem. All the parts are in the vehicle and was not fixed. I want my money back or the vehicle fixed.
