My Daughter bought a Pre-owned Kia Picanto from KIA Randburg earlier this year. She is very happy with her little car but the Horn was intermittent and sometimes did not work. This was the third time trying to get the problem resolved. She enquired if the car can be taken to KIA Northcliff as this was a lot closer to her work, and thus took the vehicle to Kia Northcliff on Monday 20 may 2013 and what a ripoff. They first wanted to claim R500.00 for a Diagnostic to tell her the horn is faulty ."Duh"" That is why the car was there!!! and it will take three weeks to get a replacement which they will fit under the warranty maintenance plan.(this is printed on their receipt) After a lot of un-plesantness she ended up having had to pay R267.00 before they would release her vehicle. On Tuesday she went to KIA Randburg where the car was bought and 15min later horn was fixed, loose earth, the bracket came loose most likely from vibration of driving. What a difference, do the mechanics at northcliff not knowledgeable to find a small fault like this?? My concern is why was she not forewarned of a diagnostic charge and I was told by Monica Slabert at KIA that this vehicle has no service history.
