BMW Autobavaria
Replacement of Slipring on BMW X3

My BMW X3 was initially diagnosed by Auto Bavaria Midrand for AIRBAG light (that keeps going on) prior to going out of motorplan as per the service records in BMW. The faults are then cleared and every 500km the light appears again. According to Auto Bavaria Midrand, several parts where replaced to try and rectify the issue (obviously not the right ones). This issue continued until the motorplan expired. We are now sitting with a vehicle with this fault. According to BMW South Africa, Auto Bavaroa Midrand is willing to waiver the labour costs and I must pay in R3300 for the part. Why should I pay for a part as I complained about this issue while the vehicle was on motorplan? BMW was troubleshhoting and replacing components to try and resolve the issue but was unsucessful. It is clear that perhaps it was misdiagnosed. I have been in contact with BMW South Africa to discuss the matter with the Regional manager. I therefore feel that this should have been addressed while the vehicle was on Mototrplan instead the light was reset and i had to run back and forth for clearing the fault and resetting the AIRBAG lights. ISSUE STILL EXISTS
