Good Day

We recently visited Cape Town on holiday for my husband's 40th birthday and hired a car from Europcar, via [URL Removed]

We collected the car on the 11 of August 2013 and returned the vehicle on the evening of the 15th of August 2013, after receiving the news that our house in Gauteng burnt down due to a massive veld fire, and we had to book the first available flight back home.

We received the invoice and we were shocked to see the billing details.

First of all the vehicle was returned on the 15th of August 2013 and we were charged for the full period up until Sunday the 18th of August 2013, as well as the additional insurance that we took out was charged for in full and not proportional.

It is mind blowing that we can be charged for the full use of the vehicle if we did not use it for the full period. And then to put the cherry on the cake, EUROPCAR charged us for a valet to the amount of R660.00, which is absolutely, as there were only one or two petrol slips in the car and we don't even have children that usually makes a mess. This is highly unacceptable, and we urge the public to not make use of EUROPCAR. They commit.
