We rented a vehicle for a 7 day period and then unfortunately we had to cut our trip short. We only had the vehicle for 3 days. When we handed the vehicle back, Budget car rental said that they didn't charge for the remaining 4 days but as we had ordered it via a travel agent, we needed to get our refund back from the travel agent. When I asked UK rental cars to refund me the money, they refused as it "was in their terms and conditions" and "their charges were cheaper than a rental company". So basically they keep the rental for the cancelled 4 days, despite the fact that they have done nothing to earn it.
