I had my vehicle towed in Tues afternoon after my cooling fan broke due to vibration and pierced my radiator. I have 3 big problems with this:
At my previous services (under warranty), I had TOLD you that the fan was vibrating on hot days with A/C on, but Peugeot found no fault on the car. Why should I be expected to pay for these repairs now that the fan has finally broken?
My car only has 45000km on it!!! I have had 20 years old cars with over 300 000km which never needed fan replacement. Now my still new car is already broken. I bought new for the peace of mind that the car would be reliable for years to come. I am sad that such a simple component could break so soon. Now I'm worried about Peugeot Quality & serious problems occurring in the future.
Peugeot SA said the fan assembly was safely enclosed, but at the same time say that 'something' must have broken it. However there is no damage to the front of the radiator or car so this is impossible! I was promised to be phoned back Friday, but nothing. Now I am stuck with no car for longer due to Cust Care's bad attitude. Please help me solve this problem, or I will have to go to the Ombudsman and press on principle.
