Ought new 116i year and a half ago from cresta, (11/2011). Somewhere in 2013, took car in to clearwater roodepoort for an oil top up as one is not allowed to fill oil up at a normal garage, then took car back in june 2013 to clearwater being paranoid that they overfilled the car with oil on the oil top up as thisvis what the dipstick indicates, since the oil level shows above the top indicator mark on the dipstick. The lady at clearwater only checked my key for info and said no, its fine, no problems, i told her that i insist on a technician to come and make sure by checking oil level manually, he came along, checked my en-gin oil with a bad attitude told me no, if the oil level is too high, the engine will "burn this off", but in the bmw car manual it states that overfilling the oil might damage the engine. I hold bmw clearwater/ south africa accountable as my car now blows smoke in 1st and2nd gear when pulling away, and i promise BMW they WILL replace my engine, i am sick and tired of getting up to service from BMW, and now i need to be inconvenienced with bringing the vehicle in, they can fetch it at their own risk and deliver vehicle with new engin at their own risk!
