I went to the shell in ormonde called Formiss and wanted to pay for my fuel with my debit card. The petrol attendent told me that I am only allowed to swipe my card for a minimum of R150.I wanted to fill R100 but was forced to fill R150 in order for my card to be swiped. I dont understand... is this a rule from shell as I can fill any amount swip my card for that amount at all other garages I go to. I mean than whats the use of having a debit card if this the case as this is inconvient.
