Filled up at Shell Sundowner cnr CR Swart & Beyers Naude 26/11 - proof supplied. Filled up again there 5/12 at 16h00 - proof supplied. Tanker was refueling - Service Station owner confirmed this. Shortly after, my car engine seized. Booked in with Renault - their examination concluded contaminated fuel. Cost us over R3000 to repair damage. Sample of contaminated fuel supplied to Shell. Contamination can be seen in the samples with the naked eye. Shell responded on 22/01 that lab results were inconclusive! They concluded that we must pay 50% & Service Station owner pay the remainder 50%. As this was not our fault in any way, Shell & the Service Station Owner shall be liable for ALL damages done to us as all the proof has been supplied.
