Logistika were contracted and paid in FULL to deliver goods by road from Jhb to Dar es Salaam. The goods were due to leave Jhb on 02 May 2013, to reach Dar 'within 10 days', making the due date of delivery no later than May 16th 2013. We finally received notification (a 1 line email) on 03 August that our goods had arrived in Dar... 3 full months after leaving Jhb!
During that 3 month wait, all contact from Logistika ceased; our emails were not responded to, our phone calls to mobile phones went unanswered, our calls to the office were met with a promise to call back with more info... which never happened. Added to this, no apology was ever offered, and the most info that we ever managed to get from Logistika was that "the truck had broken down". We were told, in that when we did manage to get hold of a representative from Logistika, the story we were told kept changing.
We suffered enormous financial losses over the waiting period due to us not being able to honour contractual agreements with clients, as we did not have ownership of the goods promised.
NEVER use Logistika as your courier company!
