I took my car into the BMW dealership on Thursday 29th August to get the gear knob on it changed because the old one had worn out. When the car was at the dealership, they called me to tell me the car needs a R2000 worth of service, even through the car still had 1700 km on it before the next service. I said they could go ahead with the service because that is what they advised. they called me to tell me the car was fine and I could come and collect it on Thursday afternoon. On Friday 30th Aug when I woke up, the car was smoking from the front bonnet on my way to work. I had to get the car towed back to dealership because they said i should bring it back and they will have it sorted. This morning I get a call from them to say they would want R35 000 in order to go ahead with the job and they can only do all the repairs on the car or nothing at all. My problem is how this dealership managed to pick up that the car needed to be services but failed to tell me that the car had leaking Gas strip pipes that needed R35 000 to repair. They could have possibly sabotaged my vehicle just so it could come back for the R35 000 repairs because on Thursday when I took the car there, it was fine!
