We contracted Classic Removals to move our shopfittings and stock for a new store from Swellendam to Umhlanga. Their truck broke down in PE on Sunday. They were required to deliver to us in Durban on Monday at 6pm although their window for delivery was until end of Tuesday .. They did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WHATSOEVER to expedite the delivery by sending an extra horse to fetch the trailers, the goods were promised to arrive at 4am on Thursday - three days late, it is now 6.30 am and still no sign of them.
The knock on effect of this is we have lost three days and now can no longer open to trade on the busiest weekend of the month, so we have loss of income. Also we have staff from the Cape who have to accommodated, fed, paid while we all sit and wait. We have had to change air tickets. We have incurred huge costs due tot their failure to even remotely try to fix a bad situation. They do not deserve to be in business
