Waiting time for parts

I ordered shocks for my BMW... out of stock in Jhb..I have to wait 24 days to order from Germany... previous time they ordered ignition barrel for me... 26 days!!! Is this the norm and is this SHEER DRIVING PLEASURE? Maybe VORSPRUNG DUR... is better?
