I bought a new truck from Pinetown last year, with my first checkup and service I told the branch that the motor is rattling terribly and the oil filter is not connected to the bracket fix to the engine? This is apparently normal!? To stop the noise I eventually cable tied the filter to the bracket. After my service two weeks ago we were surprised when the exhaust simply fell off. Spoke to the dealership-submit claim. Never mind the fact that Hyundai warranty might not cover the claim, there is no stock in the country and they will not receive within the next 6 weeks and I should not drive the truck as I might experience performance issues. Do they offer a loan unit - NOO! Maybe I should just close the business doors for 6 weeks? A week later (still driving without exhaust) the motor simply dies after turning on lights. Tried to phone after hours support- no answer. Cost me to send some one to jumpstart truck and drive behind it with parklights on for 80km's on N2 highway!!! Alternator replaced R5500, I should know if this claim is approved in a weeks time. I asked for a vibration test but they apparently do not have the equipment. Almost forgot about the jack that doesn't work!
