Went for test drive in Geely (DFKS) Mini Truck 1.3l and a Tata Super Ace.
Geely:
The salespeople were useless - seriously.
Nice and small and feels a bit more like a small car to drive.
Just what I need for odd jobs, running my furniture business and spending only R80k.
Interior is sweet and nice, but the demo model's speedometer wasn't working...
With only 1yr/60kkm warrantee I'm very scared of this and I'll probably loose what I've saved in the purchase, come resale day.
The wheel hub pushes ones feet towards the left which gives a bad impression.
Doors and general look is sturdy and nice.
Can carry about 670kg on the back.
Only about 330mm shorter load bay than the Tata.
Tata:
Actually too big and strong for my needs.
Very very huge big problem for Hyundai and Kia for sure.
Very solid and impressive in every way - nice ride.
Seems like the only advantage that the Hyundai has over it is that its a bit quicker on the open road.
Engine noise didn't bother me at all - its a truck.
Salesman very quickly assured me that gearbox, tyre wear and filling issues were solved.
I prefer the Geely cuz its small and cheap yet solid, but I'm gonna buy the Tata at R110k only due to warrantee.
