Incorrect advice

We are moving from South Africa to Namibia and are still waiting for our move. With the initial meeting with Pickfords we categorically stated that we want the option were our move is done exclusively. As part of company policy we had to get 3 quotes of which Pickfords was substantially cheaper and hence we had to use them. Now after almost 3 weeks of staying in a guest house with our 3 dogs and 6 month old baby we find out that they are still waiting for other cargo to fill the trailer and are only planning to leave on Friday and arrive here on Tuesday which will be more than 4 weeks after we left South Africa. I need to arrange know with my company for accommodation for another week and I'm paying for a rental house for 20 days that I am not able to move into! Very disappointed and frustrated with Pickfords. Not once have they communicated anything from their side. I need to phone them to find out what the status is and what documentation is needed. Even after asking I was told that they think everything is in order only to hear from a colleague where and how to do the VAT clearance that is needed which I then did out of own initiative.
