I have only received back service from Auto-mate Midrand and very little assuming responsibility for the bad service - blame is placed on the previous workshop manager and the auto-electrician who had to step in halfway after Automate attempted to recon the starter themselves rather than to send it to a auto-electrician as I was told they were going to do. The starter failed three times, each time I asked them to look at it and each time the Midrand branch tried very hard to pass the buck, wanted more money and were not honest in their dealings.

After complaining to Head-Office and waiting three weeks for a response, I was just sent the response from the Midrand branch without adding any comment and told if I am not happy to take it up with RMI.

Summary - I was charged three times to fix the same problem, eventually costing me as much if not more than a new part, I was to and Auto-mate head office is just looking the other way. In their response to me Auto-mate Midrand have acknowledged that they took a short cut initially in trying to do it themselves.

Stay away.
