I have now 2 original keys from Toyota which are damaged and they expect me to buy a new one at over R1500 each when these keys have been a factory fault since manufactured. Every Toyota owner with this key type has had a problem hence Toyota have changed this mould. I have to date purchased 3 back casings for these keys over the past few years and every time they break. The quality is shocking!!! This is poor/defective workmanship and I am now told that this is wear and tear by the call centre agent who checked with her manager Mr Naidoo. I have threatened to take this up with his boss Rene Thomas however "apparently" both are in a meeting and I cant get through to any of them. This is disgusting service as I have bought 3 Toyota over a few years thinking that this was a reputable brand. So much for this brand or brand loyalty should I say!! These keys are a problem and I am sure Toyota is aware of this yet they deflect responsibility. Yay for Korean cars like Kia and Hyundai establishing a brand.
