My side mirror fell off when passenger side door was closed and had to be replaced, I went to Barons to buy the glass, but was told that I had to buy the unit and couldn't only buy the glass and it would cost R716, incl VAT. I asked if they would fit it and how much it would cost, answer was, would probably take 1/2 hour, so R400, I straight up told them that I thought this was daylight, especially as the clerk helping me told me that it was "strange" that the glass fell off as that shouldn't happen. I purchased the part and left, as I felt this was totally ridiculous paying R400 to clip on the new side mirror. Over the weekend I unclipped the old part, while checking how it fitted in and replaced it with the new within a matter of 10 minutes and by the way, would just like to mention that I am a female working in an office, so how can someone that works on cars tell me they are going to take 1/2 hour and charge me R400???
