BMW horrible service

After my BMW went in for a service no one told me afterwards that the servicse was not finished. The service meter wasn't reset and I then took it back. They also didn't tell me about it. In the week they phoned me and said the car's service wasn't finish and needs to go back. They said it will take 45 minutes. It took forever and in the end they gave me a rental car. I had another appointment which I was late for and this is after I told them about it when I walked in there. What if I had to drive to cape town and no one told me the car's service wasn't done? This is really upsetting that a place like BMW acts that way and they waste your time and petrol because you have to drive up and down.
