Double Payment for petrol

On 2 July 2013 at about 19:05 I purchased R500.00 petrol from Marshalls Petrol Station (Shell) Main Rd Fish Hoek. The garage attendant brought a cash machine as I was paying the account by card. He said that the payment did not go through as their was a problem with the device. He went and got another machine and reprocessed the purchase. Awhile later two SMS came through to say that both transactions had gone through. This morning I approached the owner/manager of the garage only to be told that I will not be refunded unless I can produce a bank statement showing proof of such actions this is after I had shown him the two transaction on my cell phone. Could you please look into this matte
