I bent my rim / mag which required straitening and Radical Wheelz (Shop No. 7, Midrand Motor City, 198 Old Pretoria Rd - [URL Removed] ) said they would do this on Monday afternoon if I dropped the rim off that morning for R450.
I left the rim with them that morning and they called that afternoon saying that the rim broke while straightening and required welding to fix it at an additional cost of R250. Having no option I agreed and was advised that I will get the rim the next day.
I had to follow up every day to see if the rim was welded and fixed - numerous excuses "welder was busy'" and then said "he did not come into work". Finally they said it would be completed by 4pm Wednesday - I went into the shop and was told that my rim was with someone down the road for welding (not with their welder - without my consent) and it would be ready the next day.
The workmanship was shocking - no sanding to smooth the weld, welding burn marks all over with no attempt to finish it off, most worrying it did not look safe!! It took it to TWT to get a 2nd look they said I should not drive any further and they rim would need to be redone correctly which TWT did - 100% improvement..
