Poor quality product

I bought a Blitz Cloth in January this year. I used it once to wash my car and after finished, i rinsed the cloth under running water and thereafter allowed it to dry on the washing line. When I wanted to use the cloth for a second time (to wash my car this weekend), the blue side of the fabric started "fraying". I have similar Blitz Cloths which I bought last year which is still in a good condition. The store where I bought it is not prepared to exchange the product as I no longer have the receipt for the purchase. I want the product replaced but do not know what to do in this regard.
The response I received was:
Thank you for purchasing a Tevo product, we have to have the proof of purchase in order to assess and swop out any product. Should you have purchased the BlitZ Cloth with a card payment you will be able to pick it up on your bank account.
If you had used your card as stated below, as long as the date and time doesn't have to be only the cloth item amount. The store will be able to pick it up on their system.
This was unacceptable for the following reason:-
I did not purchase the cloth as a single item and it will therefore be impossible to pick it up on a bank statement
